Howdy folks!

Grace guitar

Just in case you’re wondering… I’m still alive!  I’ve got great things planned out for my little blog so stay tuned. Here’s a couple of updates from the Simpsonville:

We’re officially homeowners! I can’t believe one of Brian & I’s dream have come true. It definitely feels good to own our place. You can imagine how excited I am to decorate & learn a lot about home improvements. For the next couple of years this home will be our own little adventure. I hope to fill it with lots of mini Brian & Grace someday 😉 PS: I have to give a shout out to our fabulous & gorgeous realtor, Laura Brannen. Thank you so much for everything!

homeownersThis past holiday was so fun because we got to see our families. My brother Jared, Carissa & her hubby Jordan, & April and her fiance Josh were all in town. We had lots of oysters (my fave!), crabs, crawfish, and shrimp and tons more food.

We also celebrated Papa’s 54th birthday. Let’s just say their living room somehow turned into a dance floor and I mean with disco lights & Gangnam style.papa

And we also had the chance to spend some time with Brian’s family. We had them over for dinner a couple of times at our new house. I’m so glad we closed our house just on time for them to see our new crib. simpson family a

Then, we had the privilege to go to the temple all together again for Tyler’s endownment. The last time my family & Brian’s family were together in the temple was on our wedding day. Tyler has chosen to serve a 2-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has been called to the California San Diego mission. We are very proud of him!tyler

Overall, 2012 was a good year. Cheers to 2013!

And this year, we get to be together again. It’s going to be a huge family reunion!!! This year, all my family living in America & all of Brian’s family (except the Desha family) will be gathered together to celebrate lots of things from Christmas, Papa’s birthday to Endownments at the temple.

I. CANNOT. WAIT.

Hello, December!

December is FINALLY here! And even though we’re only 3 days into it, I’m already having a blast 🙂

This past weekend, Brian & I actually got a chance to go on a couple of dates —–just the two of us.  We love spending time with our friends & family but sometimes, its nice to have a one-on-one date with your sweetie & just laugh together & share inside jokes like no other. I can’t speak for my husband but for me, I feel love refreshed like almost that feeling you get after a really good bath/ shower. Does that make sense?

We started our weekend off with Pizza Palace then stopping by at Peterbrooke Chocolatier. That place smelled heavenly! Then, did I mention before that Brian is now officially a couponer? We went on our very first couponing trip together last Tuesday & he actually enjoyed it. I was one happy wifey! We got some handcream & placemats— with an initial total of $32.34, we only paid $2.19. A total of 93%!

Anyways, before we went on one of our dates this weekend, we were able to squeeze in a quick coupon trip. With $51 worth of stuff, this time Publix paid us $1.21 before tax to buy their stuff & only paid a total of $1.50 for all of those Pop-Tarts.

Then, we had a romantic dinner at Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant. It was quite a lovely evening ❤

During this season of joy, I feel very loved and hope that I will be able to share my blessings to others. Brian, I look forward to spending this Christmas and another new year with you. You make life worth living.

Kickin’ it with the Rockettes

Even though Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I can’t help myself from watching Christmas shows already. One of my favorite Christmas treats is watching one of my dreams on screen… The Radio City Rockettes! Watching them live is definitely on my bucketlist 🙂

I adore their poise, gracefulness, timing, & unity. You can’t help but feel happy watching them. I know they definitely make me want to put on my dancing shoes, point my toes & kick like a Rockette!

Aaaahhh! That’s probably enough obsession for now… Anyways, I hope you enjoy this joyful season with those you love. I’m grateful that I get to spend it with my loving husband, family & friends.

Christmas Wishlist

Christmas is just around the corner (can you believe it?) and my wishlist just keeps on growing…

I want to start collecting nail polish from Essie, OPI, China Glaze, etc. Then, someday I want to have my very own Nail Shelf.

I love our current bed set but after over a year, I think it’s time for an update. I love this: Lush Decor Ivory Paloma

Also obsessing about this one from Martha Stewart Collection: Painted Chevron Set

Also, it’s time to stop neglecting our windows. They definitely haven’t received any love since we’ve moved in. Target has some pretty panels like this Simple Shabby Chic Lace Window Panel:

or this Target Home: Window Sheer- Heavy Cream

Also, I’m totally giddy about this: Pour and Shoot Mug from ModCloth!

So, if you happen to be my Secret Santa or if you’re in the mood of gift giving, feel free to refer to this list (Brian… Carissa… family?) Have you started your Christmas list yet?

xoxo Grace
